Which one first
- Nobody wants to learn rules: Most Likely To. A prompt goes up, the room counts to three, and everybody points.
- A room that likes to bluff: Imposter. Every phone shows the same secret word except one.
- Everybody shouting at once: Back to the Screen. One person faces away while the room gets them to say a word.
- Someone who can draw: Sketchy. One phone draws, the television shows it line by line, and the room shouts.
Phones, and when a game wants one
Eleven of the eighteen games need nothing but the television and its remote. They need no phones and no wifi.
Seven use phones, for the one thing a phone does better than a remote: holding a secret word or a pen. The television shows a QR code, and scanning it opens the game in the phone's browser. Guests install nothing and make no account. The television and the phones both need an internet connection, and they do not have to share a network.
What is free to try
Eight of the eighteen games are free to try, each with a real slice of the game: no card, no account. The rest are included with any plan. A monthly, yearly or once-for-life plan unlocks every game on the shelf and every game added later, and it follows your Google account, not the television.
Questions
How many people can play?
Each game says, and so does its page. Between them the games cover 2 to 20 players.
Do guests need to install anything?
No. A game that uses phones shows a QR code on the television, and scanning it opens the game in the phone's browser. Eleven of the games use no phones at all.
Is there anything to buy inside a game?
No. Nothing is sold inside a game. Eight of the eighteen are free to try, and one plan unlocks the rest.
Which televisions does it run on?
Android TV and Google TV: any set or streaming box with the Google Play Store, on Android 6 or newer. Party games on Android TV and Google TV has the details.
